Background
Bailliefields Community Hub SCIO was created in 2021 on the back of the work done by Westquarter and Redding Cricket Club C.I.C.. Over the last 6 years the club and the charity have significantly expanded in their number of members and the range of supported activities.

The hub was previously SportScotland Local Club of the Year and is currently 1 of the 6 Cricket Scotland Disability Cricket Champion Clubs and has also been a finalist in Alzheimer Scotland National Awards for its monthly dementia group.

The currently facilities are being upgraded through over £400,000 of funding and we are looking to expand even further over the coming years with ambitious plans for the facilities that are provided on site.

Our overall aims are very simple and clear - we look to make the local community a better place to live by addressing the following:

  • Providing opportunities to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
  • Promoting inclusion and equality for the young and elderly.
  • Tackling social isolation and the health and wellbeing.
  • Connecting the local community and giving a sense of belonging.

With the overriding vision being – ‘A place for all’; one where everyone belongs and all activities have a social element to bring the community together.

The Trustees have developed the hub as it has evolved. There is a real appetite now to build on this foundation and take Bailliefields Community Hub to the next phase of its development. For that reason, we are looking for a staff member to join us and build on the work carried out to date.
